This exhibition reflects and highlights a tradition of oral history and generational mentorship of heritage craft. Heritage craft as being defined by a sense of manual dexterity as points of production; work that demonstrates an intuitive response and understanding of materials, design, and techniques; and, historically has been practiced in a tradition of two or more successive generations (generational transference of knowledge). In our ever-changing industrial and digital world, more and more we turn back to hand making and process. In this quest for understand "how-to" and "DIY" making we highlight practitioners and teachers that keep these practices alive.
