This year, we piloted a curated, rotating cohort of artists in our Gift Shop. Alongside Fresh Eye Artists, we are exhibiting three, carefully selected cohorts with a range of art styles. Their thoughtful pieces make excellent additions to any home, or gifts for your loved ones. We can’t wait for you to visit each cohort!

Jesse Gantenbein

Jesse Gantenbein spent time as an Illustration major at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and graduated with a degree in Furniture Design. After a long hiatus, he began making and showing 2D fine art in 2023.
“When I work on a piece of art I value concise, slow, process driven techniques. My work is mostly additive, erasing or covering up is not commonplace. I value processes that deepen values and relieve into the substrate.
My compositions are considered and structured, often inscribing images in geometric shapes and valuing symmetry and repetition.
My work often juxtaposes dissimilar subjects deliberately. I draw inspiration from ritual magic, mythology, celestial bodies, natural anomalies, death, decay and the macabre.”

R!sha is a Minneapolis-based abstract artist specializing in acrylics, inks, and pastels. Her work delves into profound themes such as space, time, trauma, self-discovery, and resilience, presenting an evocative interplay of form and color. Through an intuitive creative process, R!sha crafts pieces that transcend the physical canvas, inviting viewers to engage with deeper layers of meaning and perception.
“My art is a reflection of the uncharted, a journey into emotions, space, and time that unfolds beyond the visible world. Using acrylics, inks, and pastels, I intuitively create abstract works that explore the intersections of trauma, depression, self-harm, joy, and the complexity of human feelings. My process is deeply personal—I paint to feel through my emotions, translating the ineffable into bold strokes and vivid layers.
I am inspired by the mysteries of space, the fleeting nature of dreams, and the surreal sensations of other-body experiences. Each piece is an invitation to see beyond the canvas, to step into a realm where emotions and dimensions intertwine.”
Partie People | Mads Golitz

Partie People is designed and printed by Mads Golitz, a printmaker and arts educator here in Minneapolis. They hold a BA in Studio Arts from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Mads currently works at Highpoint Center for Printmaking as a teaching artist and Education Programs Assistant. Their work ranges from playful screenprints and monotypes, to deconstructing themes of spirituality in their lithographs. Partie People is an ongoing collection that acts as an outlet of play and experimentation that Mads likes to bring to the studio, as well as the classroom.
“Partie People is a collection of colorful dancing figures based in play and connection. They started as a doodle about 10 years ago and have remained a light-hearted creative release I return to in my artistic practice. Much of the collection is inspired by queer joy and connection to one’s community. As a thank you to all the love and support Partie People has received over the years, a portion of each sale now goes toward local mutual aid. After all, you can’t have a party without the people.”

Angie Fruncillo is from Saint Paul, Minnesota and has been a prolific artist since childhood.
“Drawing these pictures is soothing to my brain when I'm anxious, but also a time filler when I'm looking for something to do! If I create enough of them, that anxiety can disappear completely.
I have a wide variety of colors, certain ones help me reflect on paper my feelings about what's happening in my life. I never know what will be created on paper with my markers and pencils from one session to the next!”
