Welcome to our first curated cohort of Gift Shop Artists!
This year, we piloted a curated, rotating cohort of artists in our Gift Shop. Alongside Fresh Eye Artists, we are exhibiting three, carefully selected cohorts with a range of art styles. Their thoughtful pieces make excellent additions to any home, or gifts for your loved ones. We can’t wait for you to visit each cohort!

Emma Gottschalk and Josh Eller, also known as Boring House, are creative-turned-life partners making hand printed goods in their NE Minneapolis studio. Their passion for making accessible, fun art, for every person to enjoy drives their creative process.
“Though our artwork utilizes a wide breadth of subject matter and mediums, our primary goal is to create joyful, easily accessible prints. By creating both open and limited editions of block, screen, and risograph prints, we are able to share original artwork with a larger audience. We believe handmade art should not only be a privilege for a few, but an opportunity for many.”

Stained glass plant stakes, clips, and window hangings by E. Gus
Emily (she/her) is excited to share her stained glass with you. When not puttering away in her basement cutting her fingers on shards of glass, Emily works in public health research and sexual health education. Her passion for promoting bodily autonomy, body confidence, and proper anatomical terms has translated seamlessly to stained glass. When she’s not at the glass bench, you’ll find her hiking with her partner, snuggling her dog, or cheering on some women’s sports team.

Harry Malesovas is a sculptor and painter born in California and raised in North Carolina. Malesovas received his BFA with a focus in Ceramics from the University of North Carolina, Asheville, during which he was recognized by NCECA with an Undergraduate Award for Excellence. After he graduated he pursued a Post-Bach with his Alma Mater. Following this he moved to Minneapolis to complete a residency with the Northern Clay Center where he continues to live and work.
“In my work, I explore this delicate balance between isolation and connection, using grotesque, psychedelic, and often humorous imagery to peel back the layers of my inner world. From depictions of lust and love to self-pity and disgust, my art offers a raw journey into the complexities of the human experience. Each piece serves as an invitation to the viewer—an open door to explore the many facets of my true self, and perhaps, their own.”

Girl Naturalist is a small-batch candle maker based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Each handcrafted candle is inspired by nature and made to take your senses outdoors. All candles are poured with clean burning soy-wax and all scents are blended using essential and phthalate-free oils.

Jake Manitz is a digital illustrator that makes cartoonish works meant to be interacted with your hands and your imagination. Stickers that hold hands, prints of otherworldly creatures, and cards meant for any occasion.

For Josiah, creating art is a stronger means of expression than words. He loves watching, learning about, and making art featuring birds. Over the years Josiah has explored drawing, painting, and ceramics with a recent foray into textiles, specifically embroidery.
Josiah is supported by Fresh Eye Arts and regularly exhibits work around the Twin Cities.
